| Introduction: | 1. 2,6-Di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol, can inhibit or relay the oxidative degradation of the plastic or rubber and extend service life. 2. 2,6-Di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol can prevent the increase of acid value or viscosity of the lubricant and fuel oil. 3. 2,6-Di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol is the stabilizer of synthetic rubber (butylbenzene, nitrile, polyurethane and butadiene etc.), polyethylene and polyvinyl chloride, 2,6-Di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol is the commonly used phenolic antioxidant, 2,6-Di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol has protective function to the thermal-oxidative aging of natural rubber,polybutadiene, butylbenzene, butyl, isoamyl, dengqen, ethylene-propylene and other synthetic rubber, acrylic resin and latex products, 2,6-Di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenolcan inhibit copper toxicity, used with anti-ozone and wax can prevent the damage to the vulcanized rubber by various climate factors, the product is easily dispersed in rubber, 2,6-Di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol can be directed mixed in rubber or in latex as dispersion, can be used to manufacture sidewall of the tire, various white, bright color and transparent rubbers and latex products, rubber overshoes, adhesive tape etc. 2,6-Di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol can also be used as the stabilizer of synthetic rubber post treatment and storage. 4. The solubility of 2,6-Di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol is: ethanol 25%(20), soybean oil 30%(25), cottonseed oil 20%(25), lard 40%(40). 5. 2,6-Di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol used as the food additive can delay the rancidity of food. 2,6-Di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol is used in animal and vegetable fats and the foods containing animal and vegetable fat.
